Hoan Kiem Lake
相传15世纪初期，越南皇帝黎季利(Le Qui Ly)得到上天的感召，于是泛舟还剑湖捞起一把剑身“顺天”二字的宝剑，黎太祖借助神剑而推翻了中国的明朝，创立了大越南。在黎太祖登基后，他亲自回到湖上将剑还给巨龟。此后，人们相信那只巨龟就是神龟， 是代上天收回宝剑。因此，“还剑”之名便是由此而来。越南人认为龟是长寿吉祥动物。它代表忍辱负重的精神，因此深受人们喜爱。他们希望巨龟不但能吸引各国游客，还能给河内带来一片祥和。

Holiday in Hanoi 2008
28th April 2008, 10pm
We departed from Sungai Nibong Bus Station to KL~LCCT airport.
Unfortunately,on the way to KL, the damn bus which we took was got problem and we had to wait the bus driver drove for repair. We really dont knw the bus driver drove the bus to repair, we thought the bus will direct to Puduraya. It really delay our time to go airport. The bus driver point back the arrow to us that we havent tell him that we are rush to airport. But the bus driver should tell us what he want to do, is not just direct go for repair without inform all the passenger. It was 5am. Our flight were at 6.30am. We have to check in before 5.50am. So, we asked the bus driver drop us at a taxi station. Now, the taxi driver knew us were rush to airport, then they asked us to pay a high cost. During bargain, a stupid woman who also wanted to go airport with us, told the taxi driver that we rush to airport and asked the taxi driver gave us a proper price..Hey,aunty..the people knew u are rush, they will try to gain more money from u, try to increase the price la...Then, no choice..we still have to took taxi to LCCT airport. When we reached airport was 5.45am already. Finally, we still on time to check in.
29th April 2008,
8.30am, we reached at hanoi airport. Malaysia time is 9.30am(Hanoi time is lag behind 1 hour).
Then, we took a taxi to hotel. We stayed in Fortuan Hotel. I really dont like the person in charge in that hotel because when we havent take any tour package from him, he served us very friendly. After we came back from the tour and still stayed in that hotel, he totally changed his attitude. It may be because of the tour package we took were quiet cheap and not really earn a lot. That is what i guess, but the real reason i dont knw...The first day, we planned our trip for the following day. The rest time, we walked around the city.
30th April 2008,
Early in the morning, we went to Van Mieu and Army museum in hanoi city.
Around 7pm, we rush to railway station to go Sapa by train. We slept in the train because from Hanoi to Sapa should take 9 to 10 hours to go there. It was the first time i took a train.
1st May 2008,
5.30am we reached at railway station in Lao chai. Then, we took a van to go Sapa(on hill). After that, we met our tour guide in hotel. Our tour guide was a nice girl and she was a local people.
We started our journey. We visited 2 villages in Sapa and we knew their culture and their daily life. Their life were really tough. Most of them were farmer, plant padi and corn. The air in Sapa was quiet cool and fresh. We overnight in homestay. We had our delicious dinner were prepared by our tour guide.
2nd May 2008,
10am, we started our jungle trekking. We visited 1 village. Then, we took van to go up the hill and back to our hotel. After that, we walked around the local market.
5pm, we took a bus to railway station~Lao Cai. Then, we took the train back to Hanoi.
3rd May 2008,
We reached in Hanoi at 7am. Then, we took a taxi back to Fortuan Hotel. We had our breakfast in hotel. After breakfast, we joined a small group tour to go Halong Bay. We took a van together with other people to go jetty. Now, we had different tour guide, his name was Trroik. He mentioned that he is still single. We reached in the jetty and went Halong Bay with a boat. We overnight in the boat.
I really really relax on the boat. Look at the sea, hill, sky, bird.....Fantastic view!
4th May 2008
We back to hanoi..We reached at jetty at 1pm, then we have our lunch. After that, we took a van back to our hotel.
5th May 2008
Shopping in Hanoi city.
6th May 2008
we went to Ho Chin Minh masoleum.
7th May 2008
went back to Malaysia, with 9.30am flight from Hanoi to KL.
